Super Mario World (Sūpā Mario Wārudo^?) is a platform game developed by nintendo. Like the first game, players play as Mario and save Princess Peach is kidnapped by Bowser, you can download this game here, and the emulator too.

This game more or less the same as before, but there are many new changes. Mario can do “jump around” that gives power. Mario also can lift or throw objects, but also can be thrown upward.There is also a “power-ups” such as sparks, and a “power-up” clothes for the new flight.

Levels are accessed through a world map, there are eight worlds, each containing several levels. The player moves through each level to reach its exit (some levels have secret exits) which unlocks a path to new levels.

There is also one level that takes place in a castle in each world, in which Mario fights the “Koopalings“, who are the children of Bowser and serve as the boss for that world.The secret exits in some levels lead to one of five portals to “Star Road”, an otherwise secret world, its levels are more difficult than those found in the rest of the game, but completing it is not necessary to complete the game.

So overall it’s determined that SMW is great graphically, gameplay wise, sound/music wise, controls are excellent, and the replay value is great! With all of this in mind it’s pretty clear that SMW is surely a great game to buy and pick up so you can always have it there to play alone or with a friend! However the Pokemon Emerald offers the player an alternative of the story that was used in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. In Pokemon Emerald both Team Aqua and Magma are now both antagonist who will try to awake the legendary Pokemon Groudon and Kyogre. The awakening of the two will lead to grand Pokemon battle between these two legendary Pokemon. Thus Rayquaza is needed to calm the two, so the character will try to find Rayquaza.

Besides that and a few more modification, the Emerald version features a Battle Tower in which players can fight some of the thoughest Pokemon available and if you wish to try the legendary Pokemon that had been captured.

The game also receives some visual improvements from the developer, now it features a better animation of the battle from the previous Ruby and Sapphire version. Although it’s almost the same as the Ruby and Sapphire version it still had a great review score mostly are above 7.5 and the game sold 6.32 million copies, making it the third-best selling game for the Game Boy Advance.

Pokemon LeafGreen

I’ve always thought that the Pokemon of the first series of Pokemon that was released in Pokemon Red and Blue were the best Pokemon than the newer ones after that. But Pokemon Red and Blue were sometimes too out-dated about its gameplay not to mention the horrible graphics if compared to today’s technology.

Thankfully Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen solve my problems about the nostalgic feeling for the first edition of Pokemon. But that’s not all. Pokemon FireRed and Pokemon LeafGreen use a heavily modified engine from Pokemon Crystal. That means every feature from the latest Pokemon series for Gameboy Advanced will be here including the tag-team battle where the battle is a two-on-two Pokemon battle. When playing Pokemon FireRed you’ll be playing as a male protagonist and you’ll be playing as a female protagonist if you choose Pokemon LeafGreen and these two versions will complement each other if it comes to collecting the entire Pokemon like always.

This game was accepted very well by the fans. Some of the game reviewer gave it an average score of 8. So if you’re a Pokemon fan and wishing to play the nostalgic story of the first series of Pokemon then Pokemon FireRed and Pokemon LeafGreen is a game that you shouldn’t missed.

Pokemon Ruby

This time it’s another release of Pokemon in the Game Boy Advance platform. The Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire takes place in a region called Hoenn that’s the home of hundreds of new Pokemon. The storyline almost the same as the previous version of Pokemon which is a story about becoming one of the Pokemon Masters by earning badges that can be acquired from gyms all around the region of Hoenn.
In this version you will be able to choose one of the three starting Pokemon such as Mudkip a water type Pokemon, Torchic a fire type Pokemon and Treecko. If you played either the Blue, Red, or Green version of the Pokemon you will find that they have the same elements as Squirtle, Charmander and Bulbasaur respectively.

Although the Pokemon franchise offers almost the same plot for the story the gameplay however continue to improve with more features are added by the developer each series. In this version of the Pokemon the greatest improvement for us was the tag-team battles. Tag-team battles are special battles between you and the NPC using two Pokemon at once. That means that you could do a 2-on-2 battle and some Pokemon’s ability could place an effect to more than one Pokemon. Also new to the games are innate abilities and natures; the former is shared by every Pokémon of a certain species, while the latter may vary among a particular species.
Just like Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire also keeps track of real-time life that will affect the spawning of the Pokemon, Berries growth and more.

Pokemon Yellow

Other than Pikachu as a starting Pokemon for you, there’s only little difference between other versions. Some of that difference is the spawn area of Pokemon. Pokemon Gold

Following the success of the Pokemon series, Nintendo then release the Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver for Game Boy Color. The color version of the Game Boy opens up more upportunities for the Pokemon game developer, Game Freak, to broaden the players experience by enhancing the game’s image quality while adding more and many more new Pokemon.

In the Pokemon Gold and Silver you’ll be able to choose different sex players either male or female and your adventure will start in a new region called Johto and within its region lays 100 new and exclusive species of Pokémon.

The basic story of the game is the same, catching Pokemons and become a Pokemon champion. But in this version the developers introduced two legendary Pokemon, Ho-oh a golden bird Pokemon in Pokemon Gold, and Lugia in Pokemon Silver. The storyline of the character will have something to do with either of the legendary Pokemon. For you first pokemon you’ll be introduce with the replacement of Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander, they are Treecko, Mudkip, and Torchic, they represents the same elements respectively.

Pokemon Silver

Some new features were introduced in the series, but what I think the most affecting is the daylight saving time which enables the game to simulate the time condition based on the time of the real world. This method affects your chances of catching Pokemons, because now different Pokemon can be catch not just by its location but also time. The daylight saving also affects the evolution of a Pokemon, Evee for example, in daylight it would evolve into Espeon while at night it would evolve into Umbreon. This method will subsequently increase the difficulty of filling your Pokedex list, and a better challenge too.

The series first introduced the Pokemon sex type which then lead to Pokemon breeding system which allow you to breed your pokemons by putting them at the Pokemon Daycare, leave them for a few days real time and hopefully they’ll lay an egg which will hatch into a young Pokémon.
