This game is the next sequel form previous Pokemon Ranger, that released on March 2006. Pokemon Rangers: Shadows of Almia, developed by HAL Laboratory for Nintendo DS video game console. This game first released in Japan on March 20, 2008.

This sequel take place at Almia. New region with larger world, more missions, more adventures and more actions than in previous Pokemon Ranger game. During your adventure, you will capture many kind of Pokemon with different abilities. Same with previous Pokemon Ranger, you can capture a pokemon by using capture tool called Capture Styler. Every Pokemon can only be used at most once in a turn. After you use their abilities, it will leave you, but don’t worry, you will be given a partner Pokemon that always be your companion. This sequel, have almost same storyline then previous one, you have to rescue people, fight a baddies, protect nature and help Pokemon, but, only this time you will be starting as student ranger.

If you complete all of your task in the end you will gain a highest rank ranger: Top Ranger. The game is embedded with online multiplayer feature and LAN. This sequel has different schedule release, in US it wil be released on November 10, 2008, in UK on December 31, 2008, and Australia on December 31, 2008.
