This game is a pair for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorer of Darkness. Both of them develop by Chunsoft for Nintendo DS Platform. First released in Japan on September 13, 2007 and in North America on April 20, 2008. For Australia was released on June 19, 2008 and July 4, 2008 for Europe.

This time you will be wandering in dungeon as an Pokemon. As the story goes that someone has stolen Time Gear, stop the time and make the world into perpetual darkness. It’s your responsibility to seek out this enemy and stop them from destroying everything. For going home and change into human, you must trace every dungeon one-by-one and complete your task. Every dungeon will be generated randomly and you will never found a same dungeon. The type of Pokemon you are going to be depends on your personality. There is 490 Pokemon in this game, and you can cooperate with another Pokemon to complete your mission, but be careful, not all of Pokemon can be your teamwork. Beside friendship there is also betrayal in this game. For Pokemon that is hostile with you, you must fight this rogue Pokemon. If you or your partner defeated, not only you will be removed from dungeon, you will also loose your money and item that you collect. In this Explorers of Time, there is a view of Pokemon that does not exist in Explorer of Darkness, that is; Celebi, Combee, Lucario, Pachirisu, and Riolu.

The interesting feature is you can send SOS message to your friends to ask for help or rescue. And also there is an option to send your member team for rescuing your friends. Unfortunately, with this new gameplay and feature (such as Wi-Fi connection), this series received much critique, and gamespot.com just gave score 6.5 for this version.
