The first Pokémon game in Japan is Pokémon Red and Blue. The player of Pokémon Red and Blue can use his Pokémon to engage in battles against other trainers or wild Pokémon. When the player encounters a wild Pokémon randomness or face a coach, the main screen interface changes to a battle in turns, in which Pokémon are shown to participants. During the battle, the player can choose a move for your Pokémon fight using one of its four possible movements and try to weaken the opponent Pokémon, using objects, change their Pokémon for another, or trying to flee. The Pokémon have hit points, and when these are reduced to zero, the Pokémon faints and cannot continue fighting until it is revived.

Capturing Pokémon is another essential element of game play. During the battle against a wild Pokémon, the player can throw an object called a Poké Ball. If the Pokémon is successfully captured, it becomes the property of the player. Factors affecting the success of the catch depend on the points of life that has the creature in question and the type of Poké Ball used: the lower the Pokémon health points and more effective the Poké Ball used, the higher the probability of catching the monster. 29 The ultimate goal of both games is to complete the entries in the Pokédex, a comprehensive encyclopedia of Pokémon by capturing, evolving, and the exchange for the 151 different species.

Pokemon Yellow

Other than Pikachu as a starting Pokemon for you, there’s only little difference between other versions. Some of that difference is the spawn area of Pokemon. The cartridge of the game comes in yellow and it would be a nice collection if you put it side-by-side with the red, blue, and green version that you would end up with red, blue, green, and yellow cartridges for the first series of Pokemon that was release for Gameboy dated back in 1996.
The Pokemon Yellow storyline were following the exact version of the cartoon series of Pokemon aired by TV stations all over the world. Some features were also added in this version such as the Pikachu mood. Pikachu’s mood can be displayed virtual pet style: keeping him happy is important, as his mood affects certain events in the game.

Pokemon Red

Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue was one of the Pokemon series that was developed for Game Boy, it was the mark of capturing Pokemon as much as you can through the game. The Pokemon Blue was originally the US version release of The Pokemon Green in Japan. These versions of the game feature a different cartridge color that depends on the title of the game. For example the Pokemon Red is sold in a red cartridge, Green in green cartridge, and Blue in blue cartridge. For Pokemon collectors these cartridges are must-have items.

The story about Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue is not much of a difference, but the Pokemon you can catch and the location of the flock is different. For example if you found a Pokemon X in location Y in Pokemon Red, then you will surprised if you could catch Pokemon Y in location Y in the Blue version and very common. This difference is passed on the next sequel of the Pokemon series.

Nintendo said that the number of type you could catch in each version ranges up to 151 Pokemons. Some of my favourite Pokemon on this series was Pidgeot, and the extra-huge Charizard. It was obvious that I played the Red version.

Pokemon Blue

The game offered the link-up capabilities for players that wish to trade their Pokemon whether they are for the player’s collection or just got bored with that kind of Pokemon, and it should be pointed-out that the only way you’ll complete your Pokedex list is to trade. Some of the Pokemon can only be attained through trading. The Pokemon Alakazam for example – the third evolution form of Abra, a very powerful psychic Pokemon can only be attained by trading Kadabra through the link-up capabilities. Too bad for emulator players.

The game’s green theme is derived from the characteristic of the Pokemon Venusaur which poses a leaf-type element. Within the game, the main character could choose over three types of basic Pokemon that couldn’t be found elsewhere. The main character will have to choose over Bulbasaur, a leaf element Pokemon, Charmander, a fire element Pokemon, and Squirtle a water element Pokemon.

In the world of Pokemon Green player will start from a town called Pallet Town and will start his adventure in becoming a Pokemon Master, but first he will have to gain all of the 5 medals to be able to compete in the Pokemon Colloseum. Collecting over 150 Pokemons is also very fun to do, but some type of Pokemon could only be attainable by trading Pokemon with other players.

The Pokemon Green is a rare item because it was only available in Japan; this version of Pokemon is converted to Blue in the US. If you’re a Pokemon huge fans and collector, getting this version of Pokemon would be quite a challenge. But there’s not much of a different from this version of the game with the rest (Red, and Blue), the only difference is the color of the cartridge which comes in green colour.
